Anxiously awaiting your first PodCamp experience? Great! Here’s a few things you should know about PodCamp Cleveland. First and foremost, you need to be aware of what a PodCamp entails, along with the overall goal of the event. Basically, PodCamps are informal conferences put together by members in the community. These people all share a common interest in all topics related to new media, including blogging, podcasting, streaming web video, and participating on social networking sites. (Do you know someone who is ALWAYS on Facebook or Twitter?)

An important thing to keep in mind is that not all participants in PodCamps are experts in social media (but have experience using it). Anyone is welcome to speak or simply attend PodCamp, and the atmosphere is extremely casual. A main goal of PodCamp Cleveland is to share and exchange information. Most importantly, all the attendees are there to learn and have fun!

A unique feature of PodCamp Cleveland is that attendees are allowed to leave in the middle of a session. Because there are so many levels of social media, sometimes it’s hard for participants to make a sound decision on what sessions to join. We allow everyone to move about freely across sessions. Regardless of the sessions you choose, don’t hesitate to share your knowledge and experiences with the rest of the group!

With only 16 days remaining….have you registered? We need to have a final head count – including speakers – so we know how much food, drinks & coffee we need!
